Pre-sessional courses: Offers of the Faculty of Natural Sciences
Where do the preliminary courses take place?
The pre-sessional courses of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Leibniz University Hannover will be offered regular in the winter semester - supported by the e-learning platform ILIAS - in presence in the lecture hall. The face-to-face courses will take place in compliance with the applicable regulations.
What can I expect in the pre-sessional course?
In the course for the respective degree programs, content from the areas of mathematics, chemistry, and physics is covered, which is largely a prerequisite for the degree programme. In the courses at the university, they are therefore only addressed very briefly, if at all.
How do the pre-sessional courses work?
On the first day of the course, you will receive a general introduction to ILIAS and can familiarize yourself with the learning modules set up there. To prepare for the other online course days, you must work on one learning module each in ILIAS. All learning modules consist of:
- a self-assessment test
- several pages with learning content to be worked through for the course days
- exercises
Good to know: You can join the pre-sessional courses at any time. However, it is advisable to join the first day of the course, as this allows you to benefit from the support on all course days.
Please note: All courses are held in German language!
