Brief overview: Information on doctorates at the Faculty
At the Faculty of Natural Sciences, decisions concerning applications during the various steps of the doctoral study procedure are taken by the Faculty Council or the Dean.
As a doctoral student in the Faculty of Natural Sciences you will be entitled to take a very tailored, yet multi-disciplinary range of advanced training courses aimed at providing practical support for your scientific work and personal development. To this end, you can avail yourself of the complementary courses offered by two different service facilities: GRANAT, the Faculty's own graduate school, and the Graduate Academy of Leibniz University Hannover.
GRANAT offers you a range of advanced training courses specifically tailored to meet the requirements of natural scientists. This range of courses perfectly complements the interdisciplinary-oriented programme offered by the Graduate Academy which targets doctoral students from all faculties at the university.
