Campus and Buildings

The Faculty of Natural Sciences sits in several locations north of the Leine river. The areas range from the impressive Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen to the Schneiderberg and the eastern Welfengarten to the lively Königsworther Platz. Find the majority of the facilities on the Herrenhausen Campus and the Schneiderberg/Callinstraße Campus.
The Dean’s Office is based on the Herrenhausen campus. This central location allows for efficient communication and collaboration within the faculty and provides a convenient contact point for both students and researchers.

The location Ruthe (30 km from Hanover) is a station for teaching and research. Vegetable, fruit, ornamental and nursery crops are grown on 40 hectares. In addition to modern machinery, greenhouses, rain shelters and facilities for experimental storage of fruit and vegetables are available on site.

The research station is also intensively involved in teaching. The activities range from field exercises to experiments for the preparation of bachelor, master and doctoral theses.
