The Faculty of Natural Sciences offers study programmes at Bachelor's and Master's level for the subjects Biology, Chemistry, Geography and Food Science, which are suitable for teacher training.
After the interdisciplinary Bachelor's programme (subjects offered: Biology, Chemistry and Geography), the Master's programme in Education leads to a teaching profession at grammar schools. For the subject Food Science, the path leads via the Bachelor's degree programme Technical Education to the qualification as a teacher at vocational schools with the Master's degree programme Education. Teacher Training Course for Grammar Schools: Interdisciplinary Bachelor's Degree
The interdisciplinary Bachelor's degree programme is well suited for prospective students who do not yet have a fixed career goal. With its overarching qualifications and practical relevance, it prepares students for demanding professional activities and qualifies them for a purely subject-specific Master's degree programme (first subject) as well as for the Master's degree programme in teaching at grammar schools.

The Master's degree programme in teaching at grammar schools provides the subject-specific prerequisites for employment in the preparatory service at grammar schools. The basic knowledge acquired in the bachelor's degree programme in the subject sciences and subject didactics of two subjects is continued in relation to the future professional field of school, supplemented by educational science and practical school studies.

The Bachelor's degree programme in Technical Education provides the basic qualification: the Master's degree programme leads to a teaching qualification at vocational schools.
