The Green Campus | Herrenhäuser Straße 2

Herrenhäuser Straße 2 is home to several facilities for biology, plant and earth system sciences. The "green campus", which stretches as far as Haltenhoffstraße, is home to institutes and teaching rooms, laboratories, greenhouses and experimental facilities.
The ensemble of buildings along Herrenhäuser Strasse was built at in the late 1940s. The buildings blend seamlessly into their surroundings, directly opposite the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen and close to the Berggarten. Its design in terms of colour and height is closely based on the historically significant neighbouring buildings. Due to its architectural heritage, it is now a protected structure.

Dean of studies office and doctoral students' office relocated to new site

Since September 2024, the doctoral students' office and the dean of studies office are located in building 4105 (section A), Herrenhäuser Straße 2, 30419 Hannover.

Public transport: Take the no. 4 or no. 5 Stadtbahn (tram) to the Appelstraße or Herrenhäuser Gärten tram stop. All the buildings on the Herrenhausen Campus can be reached via the courtyard entrance to Herrenhäuser Straße 2 (traffic light access).

By car: Limited free parking is available, incl. some close to the courtyard entrance; parking charges apply to the parking spaces located opposite on the same side as the Herrenhäuser Gärten.
