A competition highlights the excellent research of young academics
The editors of the American Ceramic Society (ACerS) journals awarded Katharina Kruppa with ACerS Journals Rising Star. . The leading professional society ACerS is dedicated to the research, understanding and application of ceramics and related materials. The ‘Rising Stars’ initiative was developed for its four journals to reward outstanding research achievements by the youngest members of the ceramics and glass research community.
Ms. Kruppa presented her article at the international conference MS&T’24 “Materials Science and Technology” in Pittsburgh, a joint annual conference of three scientific associations including The American Ceramic Society. The researcher acted as the corresponding first author on the article “Advanced thermoelectric performance of a textured ceramic composite: Encapsulation of NaxCoO2 into a triple-phase matrix”. The article will receive Editor's Choice status and will appear in the December Special Issue of the Journal of the American Ceramic Society.
