Two researchers from our Faculty are ranked on international top list – again
Every year, Clarivate Analytics publishes the list auf Highly Cited Researchers. Two of our reserachers receive repeated recognition in 2024. Being included in this list emphasises the significant international recognition and influence of the research work of the honourees.
Prof. Dr. Nadja Kabisch, professor for Digital Landscape Ecology at the Institute of Physical Geography and Landscape Ecology since 2022, was honoured in the category Social Sciences. Her interdisciplinary research focuses on natural solutions for climate change adaptation and reduction in urban areas. In 2020, 2021 and 2022, she was included in the list of Highly Cited Researchers in the categories Cross-Field and Social Sciences respectively.
Prof. Dr. Jürgen Caro, researcher and lecturer at the Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry since 2001, was honoured in the Cross-Field category. Although he is retired since 2020, he continues his teaching activities in the field of Industrial Chemistry. It seems only natural that Mr Caro is awarded in the category that particularly emphasises research at intersections of fields.

In 2024, 6636 people are listed as Highly Cited Researchers, with American and Chinese researchers leading the world. Germany is in fourth place with 332 researchers.
